Steps to become a Participating Contractor with the My Safe Florida Home Program:

1. Log on to My Safe Florida Home Web site – www.mysafefloridahome.com.

2. On the Web site, click on “For Contractors” button on the left side of the screen.

3. In the drop down box under “For Contractors” button, select “sign up to participate.”

4. Review and complete the online application. (All questions must be answered.)

          5.You will need to provide information about the workers’ compensation insurance coverage applicable to the contracting company (this could be an insurance policy, exemption certificates, an employee leasing arrangement, or a combination of these).

          6.You must agree to the Participation Agreement before your application can be  electronically submitted to the Department of Financial Services to be verified. 

Once applications are verified, you will be notified that your name and company will be posted to the My Safe Florida Home Web site as an approved contractor. 

Participating Contractors are listed in a variety of ways, but our primary goal is to provide a way for consumers to search our listing for a contractor who will be able to perform the retrofits identified by the My Safe Florida Home inspection and are located in their area

Note:  Attendance in the Blueprint for Safety course alone does NOT automatically result in becoming a My Safe Florida Home participating contractor.  To become a participating contractor you MUST submit an application.
